By the way, Anchor Man, we did take a couple of photos today. My buddy hasn't sent them to me yet, he is on a date tonight. Guess I have to wait to upload one.
My buddy and I hit Back Bay today for some crappie fun. We didn't get on the water until after 1000 and left about 1430. No huge numbers, but we had a good time and caught some decent fish. We ended up with 18 keepers between 11-12" with a couple at 12 1/2". There were only a few throw backs. If we got bit it was generally a nice fish. We also caught numerous bluegill and a few bass (green carp for you, Tap). We only tossed jigs today, no live bait. BGBS Cajun Cricket was the favorite. We tried a few different colors, but they wanted the cricket today. Back Bay is really not deep anywhere - all fish were caught in 3-4 FOW.

Nice going Kevin, good report and yes thanks for the pictures when they come.
Now thats a great report Kevin!!!!!!! What made you decide to try Backbay??????
Jim, we used to fish crappie there very often, just hadn't been in a few years. Needless to say, the fish are still there. We didn't get into the big ones that live there, but we sure had fun.
BB, the state ramp is the one located at the Game Warden Station. If going south on Princess Anne, it is a right turn about a mile or two before you reach Munden Point. There is a brown sign on the right side of the road denoting the public ramp. Make that right and follow it all the way back to the ramp on the left.
