    Default Quick pond trip

When you don't have time to go to the lake, a quick afternoon trip to the pond may surprise you .

I hit the one behind my house during the week when I get a chance. Way over run with 2” pond perch.

Those are two fine looking specimens from the pond. I like the Gill, they are my favorite on UL equipment. I bet he put up a tussle.

This particular pond has catfish, bass, crappie, and bluegill in it, and they seem to be keeping each other in check so far.

Bluegill on a UL rod is probably my favorite thing to catch, and this one really made the drag sing !!

I love walking across the yard to my pond especially when I can get my 3 and 6 year olds to reel in a big crappie. So far they like catching better than fishing.
