    Default Taking a week off

My wife takes a couple of bus tours with 3 of her girlfriends each year. In a moment of weakness I joined her on one, but sitting on a bus for 3 days going and coming is not my cup of tea. She left Friday for an 11 day trip to Colorado. We were discussing her trip and she said "why don't you rent one of the cabins at Santee for a few days?" Why not indeed!!!!!
So I am headed down to the Carolina King Retreat on Jack's Creek for 7 days of fishing and relaxing.
I think they have WIFI so I will try to post updates. This is the first time I've done this just by myself so it will be a new experience for me.
However I do have some of my buddies joining me off and on during my stay so I won't get lonesome.
Lots more stuff to pack than I realized too. Soon as I get the kitchen sink out and in the car I am headed out.
    Stay tuned.

Hope you enjoy your time on Santee. A week of fishing there should be a great time and to be able to lay back and enjoy some quiet time.

Ray I hope you have a quiet relaxing time and if you need a partner one day give me a call. My wife went to the beach this weekend for a couple days and I have enjoyed it. Suppose to be better weather next week so I am going somewhere. Enjoy

Let go and enjoy your kitchen pass. Be careful and fish hard. Keep us posted if you can. Don't forget the bug spray.

Well this is home for a few days. Probably can't tell from the photo but the lake is whitecaping. Winds around 16-20. We went out for a while but tough to fish in this wind.
Try again in the morning and hope the wind lays a bit.

Heck yeah !!! Enjoy the week !
I try to do the same thing down at the coast (McClelanville) for a few days here and there in the Fall with a couple of friends. It "Refreshes my Soul" and my wife understands.
Enjoy your time at Santee and load the coolers !!! Send us some pics.
