    Default Two hour trip

I fished the small shaded pond that’s part of a local park .
I mainly fished from the dock as it was 90% shaded .
I took three rod combos but mainly fished with the 4’6” Palms Quattro XUL paired with a Shimano Soare bb500spg with borrowed spool and handle from a Shimano Nasci 500 .
I also fished with a 6’3” Abu Garcia Mass Beat 3 but because of the over hanging tree limbs , got tired of it quickly trying to fit my casts through the limbs .
Also I wasn’t getting any more distance with the longer rod .
I ended the day with a 4’11” Major Craft Finetail glass .
But didn’t fish it very long as my Ring camera went off letting me know my Graywolf rod had arrived.
In two hours I caught fourteen gills , one small bass and lost two jigs .
One to a turtle that swam into my line and got hooked in the foot . He know has jewelry to show off to his or her friends. .
The other was lost when a small bass got wrapped around one of the many tree limbs that are scattered around the pond .
Almost made me think I’d made a mistake going back to my 2# Floroclear over the Daiwa Braid .
Some of the better ones .

Great looking colors on those gills. Might have to look into getting a fiberglass ultralight. Sounds like they are fun, might be hard putting my Soares down.
