    Default The Heat

    The HEAT !
Temps around here have been and continues to be in the mid to upper nineties.
    Next four day’s highs , 98, 97,98, 96 .
Can handle the heat for a little while, if I have some shade , but during the early morning, the humidity is off the charts .
Has me picking my fishing options a little more carefully.
If my fishing buddy’s injury is better tomorrow, we may give it a try at the big reservoir where we do have some shaded areas we can fish .
My spots nearby are mostly wide open. , so I’ll be cooling it in the a/c except for my short 30-45 minute trips I sometimes go.

Make that a ditto in SE PA. A short walk in the morning is it for me. This weather coupled with heart conditions is not a good combo. At my age I’m not going to push it.

It’s bad here too with high humidity. Raining now, I hope it cools it off some. A/C is down and it’s a might uncomfortable. Won’t get to fish this weekend at all.

The humidity makes it worse. Especially down where you live .
I can remember back when I worked reading meters manually. The temperature was higher , it it always felt better after around 10 in the morning when the humidity would drop .
A lot younger back then too .
Hope you get your a/c going.
We put in new units about four years ago and upstairs it won’t cool below 75-76 degrees during the hot part of the day.
And to think we didn’t have any a/c growing up . Just fans .
I’d grown up and moved into my own place before I had a/c .
My old Rambler didn’t even have it .

Back in 81 when I was working in Saudi our compound was powered by 2 huge diesel generators. The city did not have enough power for us…and many others. One of the generators caught fire and was totally destroyed. It took 6 months to get a new one. They had to share the electricity…6 hours on and 6 hours off. It was freaking miserable. That was the only time my, at the time wife, wanted to leave. Temps were regularly over 100 and many times hitting 110 and on occasion 120. We also had times when we would go weeks without water to bathe in, always had drinking water though. By 1999 those issues were long in the past and living conditions were pretty darn good.

I feel ya. It has been in the upper 90’s and even low 100’s a few times. Bite has been alittle slow.
