Thanks for the inquiry. Doing well and have been fishing some. Taking a med that makes me feel tired all the time but am told my body will get used to it. Picked up my boat about two weeks back. Had been told would cost 700 bucks to fix it and I was fine with that. When I tried to pay the dealer told me on the house! Talking about making my day! The boat looks brand new. Can’t tell it and trailer were ever damaged. Checked out the lake that I now have a membership in and while I caught some fish they were not much size. Had the boat out on the Little Red for first time ever 3 days back. There was just enough water to float it. Was able to catch a few trout but couldn’t go very far down or upstream. Good thing I have this flat bottom and jet drive. Hit up Bald Knob Lake and caught some decent shell cracker and bluegill. Bite was slow but steady. Been hot here and I don’t stay out long. Been driving around checking out boat ramps on the Little Red and on the White River. I do plan on doing a video but have to admit it won’t be much. Now for big news, well big to me anyway While checking out a boat ramp up on the White River I saw a 20 foot Supreme trout boat load up and he had a stick steer. Talked to him at length about his boat and we headed back home. On the long drive back my wife asked me why I did not get stick steer on this boat. I really didn’t have a good answer and the conversation changed to something else. Then my wife brought it up again today. She remarked I couldn’t see the river very well back in the back, and she is right. Most folks who navigate these rivers with a tiller stand up to navigate. That is out for me. I’d be in the drink the first time I rubbed the boat on bottom while navigating a shoal. Or worse yet hit a boulder. So earlier today my wife and I decided to change the tiller out to stick steer. The dealer gave me a price and I told him to order the parts. Of course he will fabricate a couple of mounts for the steering stick and throttle controls. The switch panel has to be moved up front along with the sonar and a fixed seat installed up front instead of the spider chairs. Am also having a Minn Kota Deck Hand 40 put on with a 30 pound anchor. So needless to say I’m pretty pumped about turning it into a stick steer. And yes I miss being in a stick steer. Been following your posts, and others, just have not replied. I need to shake off this tiredness and get back to things. Here are a few pics of my outings past few days.

    Regards

    Thanks for the update .
    Good looking fish !
We’re supposed to hit mid to upper nineties tomorrow here .
Hope you adjust to your meds soon .
Went to the foot doctor today to get rid of an ingrown toenail cut out and he winds of doing surgery to kill the roots . Tells me to take it easy for TWO WEEKS ! Maybe two days and I’ll be going nuts .

I can see where doing the steering up front would be best navigating a river . Back when I would put my old Alumacraft in the “Hooch” chasing trout , my brother would be in the rear running the motor , but I was on the bow telling him which way to go . Always at idle speed . Too many boulders that would suddenly appear to go any faster .
We’d drag a heavy chain coming back downstream .

Thanks for all the pics and bringing us up to speed. I knew that if the boat was up and going that you would be also. Good pics of some nice fish. I too had a stick boat in my past and kinda miss it some. What I dislike most stepping over the middle seat that the boat was built with. I just may take it out and redesign the interior one day in the future. There’s a lot of changes involved with the relocation, they’ll be busy for a minute. Might as well order the smooth moves now. Your last one did you well. I’m looking forward to seeing it done. Keep us posted, we all fish through you in our down time. And I don’t see chaser sitting still for long any better than you or I could.

Beautiful trout stream. Haven't fished a trout stream since Covid but been thinking of hitting one soon for a combination trout/smallmouth camping trip. Waiting on some cooler weather. Some nice looking fish. Thanks for the update.
