Good job.
Met my buddy at the new park around 10:30 .
The park is located on a point and when we arrived the wind was worse than predicted.
I started off throwing a size 0 beetlespin with various small plastic bodies .
I took five combos with me , with the plan of catching five fish with each before switching to another.
They were :
5 St Croix Avid ULF with a size 500 Carbon X
410 Major Craft Finetail glass with a Shimano Soare 500xr spg
5 St Croix Premier ULM with a size 500 Carbon X
46 St Croix Premier with a KastKing SFS 1000
56 St Croix Avid ULF with a Soare XR 500 spg
All were spooled with Daiwa J braid and Floroclear leader .
The first two combos were used fishing beetlespins and caught my first eight fish . They were slightly bigger than most of the catches the rest of the day when I primarily used a 4.6mm tungsten bead jighead and a Bobby Garland itty bit swimmer in black .
Made a nice twitching bait .
We moved after fighting the wind for about an hour to an area that was protected from the wind , but the fish were smaller .
My buddy and I tied up today with twenty seven fish each .
The bigger the Bend , the Wider the Grin !
Glad you two got out and enjoyed the day. 27 each is nothing to sneeze at, y’all done good! Pretty colors on them.
