If I were going to pull cranks, I’d go to Sardis and start around lespedeza and go east working the north bank

Thinking of making the drive north (approx 2hr) to pull cranks. Where has anybody been catching anything. Be a little specific if you comment. Like if grenada what area.
TIA

I’m from Ohio and I was going to say Sardis as well. Had great success there a couple years back

How did you end up doing? Eagle 1 and I are going to Sardis Thursday pulling cranks. I haven’t really heard of anyone catching yet. Haven’t heard that they aren’t catching either though. Last summer I did well around Lezpedeza and Dam area.

as usual with me life got in the way.. wound up just scoping at barnett. I had decided on enid cause i always catch a lot of this there and its simpler to pattern for me.
want to fish grenada more but its has so many areas to cover .
Don’t let all that big water intimate you. Pick a creek and start criss crossing over it. Get on edge of, fish middle of it, fish flat off of it. Run your line counters at a bunch of different depths and zero in on pattern. When you start catching adjust all line counters to certain depth. Go fast. Run 1.5 but don’t be afraid to go faster. You will cover so much water that you will eventually find fish. If you take that strategy and fish daylight until 2:00, you will catch a box of fish every trip. Especially on Ross Barnett where you can keep 10” fish. For example I was on Sardis Thursday and caught 60 fish with only 15 12” plus fish. The rest all would have kept outside of the big 4.

Thanks for the info. I have caught fish at Grenada, but never the numbers that I do st Enid
and I’ve done exactly what you talked about. It’s just when I drive up there. The wind always seems to a factor and I’m better at dealing with the short creeks and narrower enid than Grenada
