This isn't a fishing report, it's more a summary of my last two weeks when my daughter and family were up from Georgia on vacation. You've already seen the report of our fishing trip with vbottom. I was able to spend a lot of time with the grandkids, Isla (6) and Bodhi, (8mo) and we had some grand adventures. From having breakfast at Cousin Tanya's coffee shop/bakery to riding 4 wheeler and little blue(my ford 1710 tractor) to weeding, mulching and watering the garden. It was during our gardening sessions that we found I had an overabundance of chipmunks and decided we needed to go on the offensive. 4 traps were baited with peanut butter and corn kernels and strategically placed by Isla and checked multiple times a day. After 4 days our catch was 8 chipmunks, 7 mice and a red squirrel. All were disposed of in the field behind the house with the red squirrel and 2 chipmunks donating their tails for future crappie jigs (Isla's idea). Thursday we found that a woodchuck had decided to dig under the foundation of my barn and seemed to enjoy dining on my squash plants. We broke out the heavy artillery, setting a #160 body grip trap over the den entrance. We were rewarded with a young female chuck the following morning who also donated some tail hair to the jig tying cause. We reset the trap but they had to leave shortly after on the second leg of their vacation, to Iceland. Isla insisted that I would let her know if we caught any more chucks, which we did this morning, a big daddy male. She's going to be so excited to hear the news. It's very quiet around here with them gone but they will be back in August for Isla's next lesson in countryfication.

Get a tire swing if you don't already have one. My grandkids absolutely loved it. Congrats on making memories!
