    Default Love, hate relationship

Decided to get the boat wet today and avoid the pleasure boats at a no wake lake near me. I have a love, hate relationship with this lake as there are days I love it and it can produce, but many many more it won't. Long lined 1/8oz jigs and plastic for 5 hours and loved it today! Landed 46 fish and lost a dozen or more at the boat. Was a great mixture of Crappie and bass with gills and a bonus walleye mixed in!

Most crappie were in the 8-9 range but landed around a dozen that went 10 or larger. Water was 73 degrees today, but by the end of next weeks 90 degree days (hot hot for us Michiganders) I expect it to be much warmer.

My plan to hit a new lake yesterday afternoon was halted when I pulled up to the end of the waiting line for a parking spot to open. I headed north towards home and told spartannation I'd try another time. He told me to try vbottom's love/hate lake and gave me a cheat sheet of where to target.

It's not difficult to find fish with information like that! I kept 10 nice crappie with a bonus 12" perch, a few bass and threw back a couple really nice gills. I'm on the love side with this lake so farLove, hate relationship

The first lake you tried can be a zoo on weekends for sure!!! Glad you did well on that second lake! It's pretty close to the house so I like to hit it when I only have a few hours to fish. Results say that new motor is doing well for you!

Glad you found a few. I wonder how many you would have caught if I had told you where the good spots are.
