I've already had several spots of Squamous Cell Skin Cancer cryogenically removed from my arms, so I don't take many chances of getting repeat (or worse) contraction of this or any type of skin Cancer.
I like white too but sometimes I look like a Easter Egg...............I just got 2 sets of "Arms", have not tried them yet. Yesterday I used a Columbia PFG shirt like Slabs but a little thicker. I think Columbia had to have a nicer fabric but guess what - Slab's shirts out perform Columbia's PFG by a long shot. They do not hold on to sweat as long as the Columbia PFG shirts do. I was wet on my back getting into the truck, never happens with Slab's shirts, they dry out by the time I have everything loaded.

Wore a long sleeve something fancy angler attire shirt yesterday, stylish no doubt and pretty comfortable and when you hit a cattle crossing creek at 27 miles per hour in a big Yamaha 5 seater diesel ranger …..the really nasty cow pee and poop water seems to dry up much faster than if you wear a t shirt……but it doesn’t help much with that taste in your mouth ….just saying

And Poopy cow peewater has a very similar to sweat consistency btw , slightly chunkier to a small degree and deodorant doesn’t seem to keep you from smelling like a cow pie when you dry up, the great news is we have seat covers on my wife’s truck and it’s only an hour and half trip back home with that there fragrance de open range time on ya

I definitely sweat out there a lot, thank goodness for cooling towels, they really help.

I judge how difficult my work day is by how many shirts I sweat through. A 6 shirt day is my record...plus a clean one to wear home. Not loving this time of year.

I'm like Dave, can't stand sunscreen. I wear a long sleeve white columbia PFG shirt, a hunter safety orange boonie hat, long pants, a neck gaiter, and sun gloves anytime I'm in the kayak. I cover the boat seat with a towel and it's wet by the time I'm done fishing. Give me April & October over this hot mess.

In 2024 I wear fishing shirts. Some are Columbia and some are other brands. Someone mentioned they had a PFG shirt and it did not dry quick. Columbia makes many models of PFG shirts. Some are far better than others. I always look at the material and the weave. It is the same with Magellan brand. Two shirts may be of same material but fabric weight and weave is very different. I’m not sure when technical clothing first showed up. I worked in Saudi for 21 years staring in 1980. I took over all cotton clothing and found out quick that was not the way to go. For my first couple of years there I was a site engineer at different missile sites. It was me with 80 Saudi soldiers. We spent most of the day working out in 100 degree plus heat. I stayed soaking wet until I picked up on the fact the soldiers were not. They all had on 100 percent wool uniforms. So I decided that was the way to go. But I did it a little different. While their uniforms were of a pretty heavy weight I went with tropical wool. All that means is it is a very light weight of fabric, but still 100 percent wool. Wore wool there until I left in 2001. Worked great for me. Nowadays it seems 100 percent wool shirts are hard to find. Pants seem to be still plentiful. But nowadays I wear the so called technical clothing and it works very well. I also wear a wide brim hat for shade. It is an Akubra territory hat. Yeah it’s hot under it since it is made of felt but it totally protects my nose, neck, and ears. Baseball hats just don’t give good sun protection.

How I sweat depends on how hard my wife grills me on whatever new looking piece of fishing equipment she's found.
