Awesome job. Nice with the matching shirts. Good groceries
Austin and I waited patiently at home for the front to pass and the rain to stop before we launched at Main St. around noon. Water was average height but raising and 78F. Hit a few favorite spots and ended up with 12 keepers all thick blacks. They were following and committing but we never found a big group of them. It was one here and one there. We both had some epic followers that inhaled the jig at the surface. It never gets old to see it happen or to make it happen. They have not grouped up on the deeper structure yet on Bayou Lacombe. All fish caught in less than 10 feet of water on a 1/32 oz jig and a BG Baby Shad various colors.
Had it back on the trailer by 3:30 and now planning our Friday trip.

I went early and of course got soaked. Big wake up call for me, my top leaked so bad I got soaked standing under it. I had all the towels out of the Expedition stash from the last time Keith jumped in the water. No dry clothes packed either. I kept waiting for my Mustang to deploy it was so wet. The worst was I got up, looked at my phone and when is said "Rain Likely" I ignored it. Glad you had more sense than I.

Bayou Lacombe where we typically fish is a rain run off tributary into the north side of Lake Pontchartrain. The water typically looks like ice tea. Very clear but stained tea brown from the tannins produced from all the trees along the bayou.
The Sacalait are always golden and green colors. Quite beautiful. Especially when first pulled out the water.
BON TEMPS!!
