Y'all don't need to go shopping or pack rods I see, gear just rises up out of the water for you. Good stories all, I've pulled up only one rod, it went right back where it came from too.
Cutting the grass one day I noticed crickets were everywhere. I grabbed the cricket cage and caught 40-50 of 'em to use for bait to catch some bream for my neighor the next day. It was early Fall and the bream were gathered up below the Falls Lake dam. I took an ultralite rod and proceeded to wear the bream out. If there was just a piece of cricket on the hook, they'd nail it. Probably had 50 keeper size fish in the bucket by the time I got to the last cricket. On that last cast, the hooked bream came up with line across the bend of the hook. I pulled the line and a Shakespeare rod & reel was at the end. I pulled up the other end of the line and a 6 pound carp was still hooked. I gave the rod, reel, & carp to an Asian guy fishig above me, who wasn't catching much. He was thrilled to get all of 'em.
