Sounds like an awesome setup.
I really just getting started in crappie fishing. Fished some in creeks and caught a few but nothing huge. This year I decided I want a boat and all the trimmings live scope and all the works. War eagle 2170 is what I wanted at first but after looking I thought that may be too big. Now I’m thinking a 961 Blackhawk with a 115 Yamaha and a 112 thrust trolling motor. I may ask a few stupid questions so please bear with me as I take on this expensive journey.

Either one sounds awesome. Too a point bigger is better. That being said all of it is subject to how and where you fish.

Grenada lake and the Yazoo river. It has to be able to get small canals off the river. Orr will also be used to gator hunt thats the reason for the big trolling motor
Can't go wrong with plenty of trolling motor on one. You can turn one that is too big down to fit your needs. Can't turn one that is too small up to do the job

To me, boat layout is more important than overall size. See if you can fish with someone that has what you're considering or at least get a long test ride. Spending that kind of $$$ you want to be sure. Also, don't forget to factor in the electronics in your budget. It adds up fast! Good luck in your search.
