It's tough out there! I started out about 2 PM trying to find some shallow fish and spent 2/3 of my trip spinning my wheels. I set up 2 push rigs and 2 planer board rigs, all with cranks. I checked several areas 6-12 feet deep I have caught good numbers in the past longlining. Ended up with 1 LMB and one short keeper crappie.
I worked my way out to some deeper flats with structure and deeper ledges and ditched the planer boards. The fish were extremely scattered--one here/none there. The Asian carp wire thick as fleas in all areas I fished. I changed cranks colors and depths several times and finally called it quits at sundown. Final tally was 6 keeper crappie and 2 LMB. Largest crappie was 14". I let it get dark without taking any pics.
I'm hoping the fishing will pick up after the 4th holiday if they ever decide to pull some current.

Doug we fished Blood River Wednesday pulled jigs for awhile then cranks and had 4 keepers and several short fish. It was a great day to fish though if the fish would just do their part!!!
