Where are the most knowledgeable guides?
I recently discovered an interesting study.
Wanted to know if anyone else has encountered it.
The research analyzed 20K angler reviews and focuses on the expertise of fishing captains.
For example, Cape Coral ranks #1/74 based on mentions of knowledge in anglers' reviews:
Honolulu is #74Cape Coral, FL ranks #1 in the U.S. for mentions of captains' knowledge in reviews. Captains here are praised for their expertise 49% more often than the national average. Reviews also highlight their communication skills 9% more frequently, noting their pleasant demeanor. However, comments about their energy levels are mixed, being mentioned 24% less often than average.:
In Honolulu, HI, anglers highlight the captains' knowledge 55% less frequently than the national average. However, communication is positively noted, being 2% above average. That said, opinions on patience are mixed, with mentions 31% less frequent than average.

there are some guides here that are totally good stuff and some not so much , never heard of , or seen a rating menu on them , but it varies pretty widely , I am sure some have better days than others and a sense of humor to go with it ....
cant stand a old crusty zero fun no sense of humor guide myself . been out with a few barnacle bill types in the past , that old and crusty thing might get you on some fish , but it ain't much fun sometimes to be on the boat with that guy .....just saying
