    Default Palms Quattro QTRGS 46XUL

My little Palms Quattro 46XUL arrived today .
Glad it came in a soft cast inside a hard tube . Packaging took some damage .

I removed the plastic wrap on the handle and tag wrapped around the second piece of rod and put it together.
Attached a Shimano Soare bb500spg which made a lightweight combo .
    The rod feels tiny .
Once strung up , I did the pull test to see the bending cure . It took more effort than expected to get the bend in the rod , essentially for what is supposed to be a XUL .
More like an UL , IMO .
Took it outside and took a few pics .
Some didn’t turn out clear .
Hope to slim it tomorrow while my wife is having PT .

Boy, that’s a bright one but a good looking rod. I may be off the mark but I think that glass rods will settle in some and give a little more flex over time. Maybe not much but some. I’ve built some rods that I thought were kinda beefy and they didn’t feel the same a year later. You know I shoot a lot of my presentations and the flex is very evident doing this. Have fun with it and I hope. It’s everything you expected.

Congrats on the rod. I only own one Palms rod. The Egeria area XUL trout rod. For the money I paid it is a great buy. And the esthetics are great with a maple wood reel seat.

    Regards

To go off course, have you any experience or opinion about the handing brand rods I see on Amazon?
