    Default Decision Made

Highlight today was my FaceTime visit with my daughter and two granddaughters .
My card arrived earlier this week , but I opened it with them .
With my Father’s Day gift card from my daughter and granddaughters I ordered , what else , another rod .
I decided not to order a Graywolf , from what I’ve seen in videos , a little whippy and the lure rating beginning at 1/16 . That’s the upper end of what I usually fish with .
Beautiful rods but not what I prefer .
I then thought of a new ,short , glass , BFS rod . After a lot of thought , BFS is just something to play around with , mostly because for me , it would be a specific rod for throwing spinners , spoons , and cranks. Which I do very little of .
And the spinners and spoons I do use are too light for casting with BFS equipment.

I’ve enjoy fishing with my 4’11” Major Craft Finetail UL and it’s not a bad looking rod .
I like the glass they use , flexible (fast tip) enough to cast light lures but has enough backbone to handle any larger fish I might hook ; still fun rod with the little ones too .
And has a sweet been with any fish over dink size .
Fishing it with Daiwa J Braid x8 , I don’t think I give up much in sensitivity either .

    I ordered another M C Finetail Glass , but this time , a bit shorter , a 4’6” UL .
It’ll be interesting to feel any difference between the two lengths .

Happy Father’s Day to all of you .

Well that’s a fine happy Father’s Day gift. I’m thinking that you’ll spend a good while with that one in your creek trips. I’ve found that I prefer the shorter trout x I have though they both do well.
