DB, do you put in at the Zeirt bridge or do you paddle/peddle all the way from the boat ramp? I live in the area and have played around with the idea of dragging my kayak down under the bridge and fishing that area.
I made a short trip to Barron Fork today. Water is 18 inches below full pool and 80 degrees. Fish came single poling, every stick or log in at least two feet of water seemed to hold a fish. I kept 8, returned 5 larger Crappie and endless bass, gills and short Crappie. Great trip for only three hours!

I park at the Zeirt bridge. It took some time to learn the area, but it holds fish until there's no water left.
