Went out on boat Wednesday the 19th tried many areas and many depths with nothing at all fished about 5 hours. Not an experienced crappie fisherman but all other boats on water did not look like they were catching anything either.
This is a new thread for Copan Lake. PLEASE contribute factually. Remember, many people need fish for both health and financial reasons. And the joy of actually "catching" really boosts a persons morale and happiness.
OK, on this past Friday (3/20) I fished Cotton Creek for 2 hours with medium shiners from 6' up to 2'. NO bites at all. Next I fished Osage Plains in the creek for 3 hours. Tried 3 different spots, again with medium shiners, and roadrunners. ZERO crappie and no crappie bites. Caught one 2 lb catfish on a yellow roadrunner and 2 small 12" largemouth on white/blue tube jigs. NOTE, there were a lot of shad up top at both Cotton and Osage.
Also, there were only a few other people fishing and I only saw one very small crappie actually caught.
POST SOME REPORTS FOR COPAN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was there the 19th also. I put in at copan point. I searched the entire lake and never got a sniff. I also never found a shad. I did not go north into the boat lane, so everything was south of washington cove. the best thing i saw on the graph was the brush pile at loading dock on the north west corner. It showed fish n down scan, but i didnt get them to bite. I was in lightning creek on oologha earlier that day with same results.
I hope to get be on Copan this weekend, I will report back if I have any luck ot not.
Still no luck for me on Copan but there was a few fishing Cotten Creek yesterday.
I went for a drive by at Osage Plains Tuesday evening. 3 people fishing, one guy had a pair of fish. he was the only. said they had been catching some the week before. I bet OHP was grinning ear to ear!
Fished cotton tonight not much luck seen a few that pulled some out but most like myself went home hungry
I was at Cotton as well, not even a bite and did not see any others having luck either
Had a good time vertical jigging woods today. Caught a number of crappie over 1-1/2# in 6 - 8 FOW. water temp was 68 degrees.
