    Nice pic. I am not ready for those things to be crawling/swimming around again. Especially with turkey season just around the corner.

    Right up to the point when those fins come out thru his gut. Then the catfish wins.

    that snake dont look like a native snake. it looks like a south east Asia water snake.

    Its a diamond back water snake (Nerodia rhombifer)

    I didn't think a snake could eat a cat either, until I saw this on YouTube. I'd a thunk the side fins would block the way, but I guess not.

    The snake will turn the fish and swallow head first so the fish's barbs will colapse as it goes down.
    We would sometimes pick up our stringer from the water only to find a snake had half the fish down and was hangling on. Once he gets those barbs down there ain't no turning back.

    Exclamation Snake

    Its Just An Ole Water Snake. They Are Actually Good To Have Around They Eat All The Poisinous Ones. When I Goto The Red I Take My Son's Bb Gun And You Can Shoot Snakes For Days If The Fish Aren't Biting. I Had One Try To Climb Up The Trolling Motor Last Year....wait Till That Happens And Hope You Dont Have Your Wife In The Boat With Ya.

    Nice pic! That snake has good taste in fish, baby blue cats, yum yum!

    Oh yeah snakes can eat cats. Seen it at a drained pond on our farm. They can eat pretty bigguns too.
