Indiana Reservoir Crappie

Hello Crappie lovers! I live in Wabash County in
Indiana. There are three reservoirs close by this
county. The Huntington, Salamonie and Mississinewa.
I have caught some very nice Crappie from these
reservoirs. Most often on 2" white or yellow twister
tail grubs with a 1/16" jig head or 1" white hair jig.
I always use ultra light equipment when fishing
Crappie. If I can't get them jigging with a bobber,I
try slow trolling with the twisters, that usually gets
me a few bites. I have a few pictures of large Crappie
that my son and I have caught. Unfortunately the pics.
are not all in the same place. So for now I'll share
the one that I found today, and share the rest with you
as I come across them later. This picture is of my 14
year old son Zach and his 16" 2.5 pound Crappie, caught
6/28/99 at Salamonie, on a white twister tail, while
trolling by some under water brush. We caught several
that day,but this was by far the biggest.
Sincerly, Vernon
