Written by T.J. Stallings
Tru-Turn Hook Company turns 50-years old and anglers get the birthday gifts.

The family owned company (TTI-Blakemore Fishing Group) kicked off the promotion with a huge birthday cake at the ICAST tackle show.

While the Tru-Turn Hook was invented in 1959 by John Campbell, it wasn’t incorporated until 1960. Two of Campbell’s sons Wes and Steve still run the company today.

 About the promotion…

An angler simply purchases up to five packs of Tru-Turn hooks and visits the special website (www.truturn50th.com ) for the coupon. The angler prints the completed coupon and returns it with the receipt(s) and the UPC codes via U.S. Mail. Tru-Turn will send up to five packs of hooks, free. That’s up to $10.00 worth of hooks!

Crappie are a gift from our Lord
Written by bryant a
All my life i have chased crappie all over the lakes in the southern states, in my opinion theres nothin better than waking up on a chilled morning in the spring and watching the sunrise in the stratos next to my Dad. Crappie are truly a gift from our Lord, even though i am only 19 these fish have become a lifelong passion. these pictures were taken during a trip in Southeast Tennessee of 2009;a trip we take every year since i can remember. we had a great week and excellent fishing everyday, at the end of the week my father and I and a few other friends left the lake with a little over 500 crappie in the freezer. everyday we had a limit by at least lunch and usually ended up just going back out later to just enjoy every moment we could on the lake whether it was telling fish stories or remember a friend or family member who isnt with us anymore .
